Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing Design A Delight. By paying your deposit, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Delivery

• Delivery is available on a case-by-case basis and incurs an additional fee.

• We are located in Germantown, MD and serve the DMV area.

2. Design & Customization

• We will make every effort to create your cake and pastries as requested.

• It is your responsibility to clearly communicate your design wishes, including color swatches, reference photos, and specific requests.

• All final design details must be submitted no later than 10 days prior to the scheduled delivery.

3. Fresh Flowers

• We can decorate your cake with fresh flowers upon delivery.

• If you have a specific arrangement in mind, please provide a sketch or reference.

• Flowers must be provided by your florist unless otherwise arranged. If we are purchasing them, the cost will be included in your contract.

• We will place up to 15 stems free of charge. Additional stems are $1 each.

• Note: Fresh flowers are not food products and may carry pesticides, insects, or contaminants.

4. Cake Toppers

• Toppers must be provided at least 1 week before your event.

• Toppers that are too heavy or improperly secured may damage the cake.

• If anyone other than a Design A Delight team member adds a topper or decoration to the cake, we are not responsible for any resulting damage.

5. Cake Table & Setup

• You are responsible for ensuring a stable, level cake table is ready at the time of delivery. The table must support at least 50 lbs.

• If the table will be skirted or covered, it must be prepared before setup.

• Once the cake is delivered and set up, Design A Delight is no longer responsible for the cake.

• The cake should be kept in a climate-controlled environment to maintain its condition. We are not responsible for damage caused by heat, humidity, or unsuitable storage conditions.

6. Photographs

• We reserve the right to photograph all orders and use the images for marketing, promotional, or display purposes without compensation.

7. Deposits & Payments

• A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your event date.

• Your order is not confirmed until this deposit has been received.

• Final payment is due no later than 5 days before the event. If payment is not received, your order will be cancelled and all money forfeited.

• We do not bake or prepare any order until full payment is received.

• Late payments are not accepted unless pre-approved.

8. Order Confirmation

• By submitting your deposit, you acknowledge and accept all terms and conditions outlined above.
